One of the problems with video games now days boils down to how much money it takes to make a AAA level game, such as Battlefront. A game with that level of realism in the art, and the powerful engines they run on take years and millions of dollars to make. A game like Fallout probably had a similar development budget to the movie Force Awakens. Problem is, most video games will never make back the kind of money that a hit movie will. I think the Twisted Metal game on the PS3 had a fairly modest budget, sold pretty well, but still took almost three years to break even.
