Dungeon Crawlers Radio is excited to welcome to the show author, Dan Krokos talking about his new book The Planet Thieves.

After pumping gas for nine years to put himself through college, Dan Krokos, now twenty-six, dropped out to write full-time. He enjoys watching TV, playing MMORPGs, and drinking coffee.

The Planet Thieves
Two weeks ago, thirteen-year-old Mason Stark and seventeen of his fellow cadets from the Academy for Earth Space Command boarded the SS Egypt. The trip was supposed to be a short routine voyage to log their required spacetime for summer quarter.

But routine goes out the airlock when they’re attacked by the Tremist, an alien race who have been at war with humanity for the last sixty years.

With the captain and crew dead, injured, or taken prisoner, Mason and the cadets are all that’s left to warn the ESC. And soon they find out exactly why the Tremist chose this ship to attack: the Egypt is carrying a weapon that could change the war forever.

Now Mason will have to lead the cadets in a daring assault to take back the ship, rescue the survivors, and recover the weapon. Before there isn’t a war left to fight.

This interview  will be broadcasted live from Epic Puzzles and Games in West Valley City on Monday May 20, 2013 starting @ 6pm.

Dungeon Crawlers Radio is excited to welcome to the show author, Rhiannon Held talking about her new book Tarnished.

Rhiannon Held is also the author of SILVER, the first book in an urban fantasy series from Tor. The second book in that series is TARNISHED. In her day job she works as a professional archaeologist. Unfortunately, given that it’s real rather than fictional archaeology, fedoras, bullwhips, aliens, and dinosaurs are in short supply. Most of her work is done on the computer, using databases to organize data, and graphics programs to illustrate it.

This interview  will be broadcasted live from Epic Puzzles and Games in West Valley City on Monday May 13, 2013 starting @ 6pm.

DCR Mini Boss: Shelly Mazzanoble Interview

Dungeon Crawlers Radio is excited to bring back to the show the wonderful, amazing, and always entertaining, Shelly Mazzanoble.

Shelly Mazzanoble’s short stories and essays have appeared in The Seattle Times, Carve, Whetstone, Skirt!, SomeOtherMagazine.com, and Dragon. In a fit of narcissism, she has appeared in her own work, casting herself as the lead in her play, Blue Malls, which was produced in Seattle’s Mae West Fest XIII. Due to the anxiety dreams still plaguing her, she did not star, support or even understudy in her play, The Chicken & the Egg, which was produced in Mae West Fest IV and later Manhattan Theatre Source’s Estrogenius Festival. Her first book, Confessions of a Part-Time Sorceress: A Girls Guide to the Dungeons and Dragons Game published by Wizards of the Coast, was nominated for an Origins Award and won the 2008 ENnies Award for Best Regalia. Her second book, Everything I Need to Know I Learned From Dungeons & Dragons: One Woman’s Quest to Trade Self-Help for Elf-Help was nominate for an Origins Award and at least six of her non-D&D playing friends actually read this one. Shelly really loves writing books with very long titles. Originally from upstate New York and a graduate of Ithaca College, she now lives in Seattle with a bi-polar cat named Zelda, a step-dog named Sadie, and a very patient man who has turned “Harpy” into a term of endearment.

This interview  will be broadcasted live on Thursday May 9, 2013 starting @ 6pm.

Dungeon Crawlers Radio is excited to bring back Rather dashing Games and Grant Wilson, to promote their Kickstarter for the latest game, Dwarven Miner..

Dwarven Miner is a duel-level crafting game. Roll six custom dice in a push-your-luck style to see what you can pull out of your mine. Craft those resources into all types of gear, from armor to magic wands to mithril swords. Use these items to fulfill the orders of your Patrons, great and powerful Dwarves who have entrusted you to outfit them for their adventurous occupations, be they Warriors, Rune-Singers, or Engineers. From the lowly Tale Smith to the mighty Chieftain, each will give you a special ability that affects the game and ensures that players will want to mine again and again. Made of high quality components, Dwarven Miner is made here in the USA from sustainably forested materials and soy-based inks. It has been extensively play-tested by many groups including The Syndicate, has been very well received, and is really ready to go.
